Ribbon cutting and 40 beds given in E. Peoria

Slumberland was welcomed into the East Peoria community this week, holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony outside our newest store.

We were honored to have the East Peoria mayor kick the event off, with attendance from the Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, Slumberland employees, and business leaders of the community.  Kenny Larson shared about who we are, our mission and values, and how excited we are to be in the city.

Michael Larson introduced one of our traditions of opening a new store, gifting 40 new beds from our 40 Winks Foundation to local charity partners that were selected prior to the event.

Tom Hoffa introduced the four selected charity partners that would receive the beds, and we heard about the amazing work each charity is doing.

Following the ribbon-cutting, the 40 beds were loaded onto the waiting trucks to be taken to the children and youth that have been sleeping on the floor.  We knew that night 40 kids would be sleeping in a bed of their own.

Welcome East Peoria, to the Slumberland family.
